DevOps Team Lead Salary: £50,000 - £66,000 (Plus 10% bonus) Location: Nottingham City Centre Let’s be honest, we’ve all had bad managers. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some only care about themselves, some don’t really know what they’re doing, others just make everyone’s lives more difficult. At the same time, there are some amazing managers out there. They can always guide their team from success to success without fail, these guys are the glue that hold’s everything else together. You will be the latter. With your hands-on experience handling DevOps tools and Cloud platforms (they’re not picky which one), you’ll know fully well how to guide and mentor a small team of junior / mid-level engineers, a Technical Lead and a Scrum Master to be the best they can possibly be. You’ll be well looked after here, with a starting salary of up to £66k alongside a 10% bonus and all the usual benefits. This is an organization that truly cares about the wellbeing of its staff, with you in turn taking responsibility for your team. This is a predominantly Linux based house, so prior experience as a Sys Admin / Senior DevOps Engineer would be an extra bonus here, but we’re not looking to put up barriers to entry. If you’re a dev who’s only dabbled with automation technology, we still want to hear from you. Having a sharp eye for potential issues that could crop up, you’ll help to maintain the high quality of your teams work as they put together a core PaaS solution that will be marketed out to major clients all over the world. The most important thing that you can bring to the table is an ability to bridge the gap between the techies and senior stakeholders, but you also need to be able to get stuck in and put bricks to mortar where necessary. Helping to automate key aspects of their platform alongside patching bits and bobs, your team will be essential for the continued success of this fintech organization.
