Overview
DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer Salary : £35,000 to £55,000 Location : Central Nottingham Let’s be honest, some of us really aren’t keen on working for a big corporation. We want to work in a tight knit team, helping a startup go from strength to strength, being able to feel exactly how your efforts are impacting the success of everyone around you. That impact is especially felt when if you’re a DevOps Engineer, where you’ll have responsibility for most of the complex guts at the center of this operation. These guys are a small team, but they’ve got big ambitions and are already well on the way to achieving them. They’re offering a salary of up to £55k for a talented DevOps specialist to join them, plus plenty of group activities and all the usual benefits. Joining a small team, you’ll work closely with one of the most chill CIOs around, instantly becoming a resourceful and reliable member of the squad. These guys are becoming a big name in edu-tech, bringing cloud based software to users in universities across the country. Ideally, you’ll be handy with automated provisioning tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible) and a scripting language of your choice. If you worked with AWS in the past, that would be an extra bonus. Day-to-day you will balance incident response with infrastructure planning, testing and development. You’ll be regularly deploying and automating their critical backend infrastructure. Occasionally you will need to pop in on a weekend to tinker with a server, so your experience handling Linux systems would be essential. If you aren’t too confident with one or two tools or languages, they can help bring you up to speed if you’re otherwise a great fit. Does this sound like it could be your cup of tea? If so, send over your CV and lets get talking
