Overview
NHS Key Worker – Porter Due to the current demand and increased need for key workers in the NHS, we are currently recruiting Porters, to join Imperial College Healthcare Trust’s hardworking and dedicated team at Imperial hospital, in London. These are full time, permanent positions and you will be employed directly by the Trust. Previous experience is ideal but not necessary as full training and support will be provided. Duties will include: • Safe transportation of patients using wheelchairs, stretchers and beds • Movement of equipment in a safe manner, according to manual handling policies • Ensure communication with all transported patients is in a sensitive manner • Undertake general mortuary duties, in accordance with trusts agreed policies • Ensure safe collection and delivery of pharmacy products, medical equipment or other equipment around the hospital site About you: • Previous experience of working in a customer facing role • Have the ability to retain information, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills • Have the ability to prioritise and use initiative • Will be dedicated to promoting the trusts core values – as shown below This is an exciting opportunity that offers a wide range of benefits to staff members: • Various discounts as an NHS employee – both online and high street • Weekly pay, ensuring an immediate and steady income • Free training • Full enhanced DBS – at no cost to you.
