BI Analyst (Social Digital) - Leeds - £40,000 benefits Harvey Nash are partnering with Channel 4 to help in building a new data team to be focussed on their consumer insight from social media platforms. The role will be to interrogate & analyse the actions, sentiments, attitudes & reactions of audiences. The Social Digital Analyst will be responsible for gathering, joining up and interpreting large data sets in order to support the success of the DCU (the newly created arm of Channel 4, the Digital Creative Unit) whose primary activities will be to curate (existing) and create (new) short-form content and distribute it to where our young audiences are, platforms - as and when they emerge. We're looking for someone who has a strong background in analysis, a genuine interest in digital content and exploring big social data - including YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and other new media. You will have an inquisitive and analytical mind-set. A natural at analysing data; providing simple answers to complex questions to a high degree of accuracy all within relatively short timeframes. Ideally you will have experience of using social platform data, particularly data sets that are very long or untidy, with an understanding of content on social platforms, eg. Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube. Essential skills: Connecting up various data sets SQL knowledge Visualising data using Tableau Good communication skills (verbal, written and presentational) - the ability to explain complex information in simple terms An eagerness to learn new skills You will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of the performance of C4's short-form and social media content and transforming it into meaningful insight.
