A Sous Chef role is available at a hotel located in the outskirts of Sheffield Role: In this role of Sous Chef you will be joining a team of seven chefs working in the kitchen of a hotel which is a popular dining destination for residents as well as customers living locally to the property.The position of Sous Chef will see you preparing dishes for the restaurant and the banqueting department whilst also supporting the Head Chef with their role including running service in their absence; training the junior chefs and assisting with the kitchen admin.This is a busy venue which produces large numbers of covers on a daily basis as one of the senior chefs you will need to ensure that everyone is coping well with the pressure this brings. Requirements: A Sous Chef who has been working in a high volume, fresh food environment ideally pubs or hotels in their most recent roles is required for this position.A leader who is used to organising others and enjoys spending time training the junior members of the team would be ideal.The role needs a chef with good admin skills who can fully support the Head Chef with their position.
