EJ527 – Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) Location : Ascot Salary : £35,000 Overview : First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Engineering Technician on behalf of one of our clients. You will be responsible for supporting in the delivery of all Mechanical elements across the company. You will provide building service engineering to support the long-term maintenance, longevity and day to day operation. You will provide knowledge of operation and building infrastructure, including mechanical and building fabric. Duties and Responsibilities: Issuing, monitoring, and assisting where needed, and closing all the reactive jobs on a regular basis. To support with the Health and Safety within the team, making sure that RAMS are received, filed and followed. To support the Engineering Team Leader with contract management, in particular the catering equipment maintenance contract. Support on C.A.T scanning onsite. Support on carrying out site inductions for onsite works. To ensure and maintain the efficient operation of all mechanical building services in accordance with operating procedures. To support in the monitoring and documenting of working environment data. To carry out regular tests of mechanical alarms, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and kept up-to-date. To provide in-house documented processes for all testing. Support as applicable but ensure shift patterns reflect required cover. Such other duties as the Company may, at times, reasonably require. Skills and Qualifications: Recognised formal mechanical training (City and Guilds). Formal training in catering equipment maintenance and repairs would be advantageous. Significant experience as a building service engineer for a large organisation. Reading and understanding of drawings. Possess relevant qualifications and Competencies relating to a mechanical background. Hands-on experience of building services and building management control systems. Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety, Electricity at Work regulations, and COSHH requirements. Experience of fault-finding techniques. Experience of leading a team.
