Overview
A leading Legal 500 law firm, based in Maidstone are currently seeking a Paralegal to join their highly respected (and exceptionally busy) Debt Recovery and Insolvency team. Being a senior within the team (reporting into Team Managers and Solicitors), you will take ownership and responsibility for a case load of more complex cases (support available where necessary). The successful Debt Recovery and Insolvency Paralegal will work closely with the rest of the team, providing support to management/supervisors, whilst offering supervisory cover where necessary. The successful Debt Recovery and Insolvency Paralegal's work will include (but is not limited to): Drafting letters/submissions Making applications for summary judgements Opposing applications to set aside judgement Insolvency, including bankruptcy/winding up Complaints handling - including drafting final response letters The successful Debt Recovery and Insolvency Paralegal will offer the following skillset/background: At least 12 months experience within Debt Recovery/Collections/Insolvency with full understanding (and technical knowledge appropriate) of process Ideally (not essential) legal training - either Law degree/LPC, ILEx etc Strong academics (minimum 5 GCSEs A%-C or equivalent) Previous experience of CMS,handling litigation cases Strong customer service skills Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Ideally previous experience of dealing with vulnerable individuals Ability to work under pressure Pragmatic problem solver Keen team player The successful Debt Recovery and Insolvency Paralegal will be supported in their career, with excellent development opportunities available.
