Job Description As part of Together's modernisation and transformation journey and our ambition to develop a data enabled business for the future, we are looking to recruit an experienced Data Quality professional with a key focus on increasing confidence and trust in data integrity across the organisation through improved management of Data Quality. In this newly created role reporting into the Head of Data & BI, the Data Quality Lead will be responsible for the initial design and implementation of a best practice (DAMA aligned) Data Quality Management (DQM) service commensurate with the scale, complexity and needs of the Together Group. As part of the DQM service, the role holder will be responsible for Data Profiling, Data Definitions/Data Catalogue Management, Data Quality Issue Management, root cause analysis and reference data management. To be considered, you will have extensive experience of developing and implementing a Data Quality Management service in a similar organisation, ideally within Financial Services or a regulated business along with experience of championing change and being an ambassador for improved data quality. Responsibilities: Create and manage a Data Quality Management service for the Together group; Engage and utilise the Data Ownership & Stewardship framework to prioritise issues, agree definitions and raise the visibility of data quality; Create and manage a Data Quality Issue Management process; Work closely with data owners, data users and data custodians (IT) to ensure the root cause of reported data issues is understood and underlying problems as well as associated symptoms are resolved; Establish & maintain Data Quality Scorecards to pro-actively monitor and report on data quality across the group; Create and manage a data catalogue to capture business and technical data definitions, data lineage and associated meta-data; Conduct data profiling to support data activities across the group; Deliver data quality improvement initiatives as defined, agreed and prioritised; Manage a small team of specialist analyst resources. Qualifications Essential experience: Extensive experience of developing and implementing a Data Quality Management service in a similar organisation, ideally within Financial Services or a regulated business; Significant knowledge of the Data Management Association (DAMA) framework, in relation to Data Quality; Relevant technical knowledge spanning Data Quality/Profiling and Data Governance/Management technologies with the ability to identify technology solutions when purpose specific/specialist tools are not available; Experience of developing data profiling routines and data quality scorecards; Excellent SQL & Data Literacy skills with the ability to work with less data literate customers to achieve required outcomes; Change Leadership skills, able to set an agenda and convince others to follow - a proven ability to influence people and challenge the status-quo.
