Overview
Our Client: Our client is a south-east based HBF 5 major housebuilding plc producing a significant number of residential new-build schemes. Role Overview: We are looking to recruit a Planner/Planning Manager with an accredited RTPI degree with a minimum of two years post grad experience to work with the Land team to advise on all planning related issues from scheme inception through to delivery. The role will involve working with land and technical departments. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of initial site appraisals and land promotion; Overseeing appointment and management of consultant teams on the preparation and submission of planning application; As part of this fee proposals will need to be obtained in order to appoint and construct external consultants managing the scope of work and budgets Working the technical team to oversee discharge of planning conditions and any further amendments required through planning Manage all resources involved in Planning pre and post acquisition; Manage timely progress of any feasibility studies and planning applications against budget. Provide regular updates to the Head of Planning on project progress Secure positive planning outcomes within expected timescales; Provide strategic oversight on discharge of planning conditions, planning and financial obligations including CIL calculation and liaison with relevant departments to ensure the payment of CIL.
