Overview
Our client is a market leading specialist in the design and manufacture of bespoke steel beams for the construction industry.Having recently made substantial investment into new machinery at their Wetherby site they are seeking to fill a number of roles to achieve their future growth plan.We have an opportunity for a permanent Inspector who has experience within the structural steel industry . Reporting to the Fabrication Foreman the main purpose of the role is to ensure the quality of all profiled items meets the required standards prior to the shotblasting and fabrication process.You will achieve this through conducting visual, dimensional testing to ensure that client specifications are met and relevant quality standards maintained. Applicants will have demonstrable experience of working in a structural steel fabrication role, and must be able to read technical drawings.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised and possess a logical and thorough approach to all aspects of Health and Safety and Production.You will be a good team player willing to assist and help colleagues, with good verbal communication skills, be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work overtime when required. Hours of work: Mon – Thurs 18.00 – 03.45 Regular Overtime available paid at 1.5
