They are passionate about preventing and treating blindness and visual impairment and so fundraise to help raise awareness and treat eye conditions. They are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join their London office, someone who is always happy to help and be the beating heart of the office To motivate the team, ensure smooth running and get stuck in You will be the office's 'go- to' and manage the business support functions, including HR duties. If you have office management and HR experience as well as a passion for helping people and the charity sector, then apply below DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO: Business Support Manage team of two Business Support Officers Oversee reception and mailroom duties, office supplies and maintenance Provide support to the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team when necessary Ensure company is compliant with all Health and Safety legal requirements. Ensure staff are aware of relevant health and safety issues Oversee the provision of IT for the organisation including the adoption of Office 365 and management of the relationship with the IT suppliers Regularly review suppliers to ensure the provision of best value services, including IT, Travel, insurance and office suppliers HR Support Responsible for the recruitment process, supporting line managers to ensure that the most efficient and effective form of recruitment is used Responsible for onboarding new employees and office volunteers with the help of the external HR consultant and Learning and Development Manager Ensuring HR records are up to date and accurately filed on the HR software, "People HR" and SharePoint Ensure that the payroll bureau has the information it requires for processing the monthly payroll Responsible for processing flexi time reports on weekly basis and informing line managers of any variances Assist with queries from staff on using "People HR" Help current staff with HR related issues, following the Staff Handbook and HR procedures and in consultation with the HR Consultant where necessary Assist in the update of the staff handbook and HR policies ensuring that the staff handbooks comply with legal requirements with the help of Governance and Compliance Manager Support line managers, in consultation with the HR Consultant where necessary, with HR matters and ensure the HR Guide for Managers and Directors is kept up to date Working with external advisers as necessary on HR projects SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: Demonstrable experience of five or more years of office administration, including HR and IT Two or more years of managing a small Team Intermediate level on MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Educated to A level Excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to deadlines Good numeracy skills Good communicator Positive personal attitude Excellent interpersonal skills and a good Team player NB: If this company and position appeals to you then please apply your CV on-line and please send your CV to Advertised by Office Angels, Liverpool Street branch.
