Overview

This is a highly regarded International business association comprising of a Network of nearly 300 independent Accounting and Management Consultancy firms based in over 100 countries across the world. All member firms are managerially and financially independent. Between them they employ over 8000 staff. The Networks administrative headquarters is located in London. The purpose of this role is to find suitable new firms to join the association. You will carry out desk based research as well as developing your own networks to provide the Board with an overview of the targeted country/region and possible firms to recruit. This will involve: Liaising with the Chief Executive Officer to agree short-term and medium-term targetlist. Proactively researching new member firms in line with agreed priorities and coverage targets Research using established methodology and contact with groups including e.g.professional bodies (e.g. ACCA), Chambers of Commerce, existing membernetwork Managing the monthly and ad hoc Board reports on coverage target progress Liaising with identified target firms in order to gather relevant country/firm level information and completed application for Board to review Provide the relevant Board director with an assessment of prospective firms identified from researchactivities Continuous follow up with firms to keep them 'warm’ and engaged through dissemination of thought leadership materials and other relevantinformation Clearand concise communication with potential member firms on the financial implications of joining Maintaining appropriate materials (including the recently redesigned membership recruitment brochure) for use when recruiting firms in: new country territories new cities new members from existing networks Supporting Board Directors onsite visit preparation (organising the programme of meetings etc.) Supporting the Board Directors in preparing the onsite visit report Suggest, create and manage the preparation of the relevant network growth focused workshops for the regional and annual meetings (when and whereappropriate) Prepare ad hoc research papers whenappropriate B ACKGROUND A ND /O R Q UALIFICATIONS R EQUIRED Ideally have a track record of influencing growth of membership based organisations through researchinitiatives Ability to represent the association as the first interaction with a prospective new member firm and to articulate the advantages of joining thenetwork Ability to evaluate proposals/application forms against establishedcriteria Credibility to engage at all levels (internally and externally) including with individual board members to agree due diligence visits and to liaise with the prospective new memberfirms Ability to relate to the multicultural aspects of working internationally and when engaging with prospective newfirms Keep the prospective new member 'warm’ during periods when comparative research is being undertaken G ENERAL I NFORMATION Hours: This is a full-time role; standard office hours are 09:30 to 17:30 hours each weekday, with one hour, unpaid, for lunch. Little to no travel is expected for this position. Success will be measured in terms of productivity and effectiveness. Compensation: Negotiable based on demonstrable ability and experience.
