Overview
About the Client: My client is a central London developer creating residential-led, mixed-use schemes in zones 1, 2 and 3. They have a number of exciting, high-value, schemes ranging from £400m to £800m GDV. Due to expansion they now wish to appoint a "top quality" commercial professional to join the management team. About the Role: Reporting in to the Managing Director a Head of Commercial is needed to manage the costs associated with a number large flagship developments. Due to the complex nature of these projects the commercial function is critical in managing cost and ensuring the supply chain is robust. You will direct and develop your commercial team to provide a critical service to the business, constantly re-appraising and questioning to ensure "best value." You will manage the external PM / QS consultancy and be integral to the procurement and appointment of a main contractor. What we’re looking for: You are a dynamic and robust commercial professional who has experience of working either with a main contractor or PQS / Consultancy. You have strong business acumen and can comfortably deal with legal, financial and construction issues. You are a collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
