Overview

Our client is seeking a System & Support Manager on an initial 5 Month contract with the possibility of an extension. Working Hours and Pay Rate: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. At a pay rate of £17.52 Per Hour Job Purpose: Provide financial administrative service to the Asset Management Team, Estates & Facilities surveyors and other officers, in relation to the planned and responsive maintenance of the housing stock, and other related works, financed via the housing capital programme and maintenance revenue budgets. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Be responsible for maintaining and updating comprehensive records of all works programmes issued to maintenance contractors on IT systems, stock condition databases and contract management software. Where required to develop additional information systems. Writing reports to produce performance information, interpreting business requirements, statistical information and producing in summary format for management action where appropriate. Ensuring that systems data is kept up to date, applying a working knowledge of a business area, legislation or published data standards as appropriate. Perform IT systems routine data maintenance including the provision of data for relevant manager reports for end of year processes Assist with the assessment of contractors' applications for payments, identifying disallowed costs in contractor's applications for payment and ensuring costs are assigned to the correct cost centre. Assist Service Managers in maintaining an accurate record of commitment versus spend for each contract. Carry out financial audits of commitment and spend against the allocated budget as requested. Produce breakdown of costs by cost centre on a property level as requested by central finance, for carrying out end of year component accounting exercise. Carry out audit checks on final account calculations ensuring that records match payments made, that the accounts are arithmetically correct and all variation orders have been correctly assimilated into the contract Produce stock condition surveying programmes for the surveyors in order to ensure stock condition database is up to date. Lead on the department's year-end process, ensuring all systems' records are accurate and up to date. Instruct works and changes to works to contractors in consultation with the Service Manager. Ensure contractors' property files, including health and safety information, for completed works are submitted on time Skills and Experience: Minimum NVQ level 4 (or equivalent relevant experience) eg (ICT, business admin, technical qualifications) Formal project management qualification Working knowledge of major business systems eg IDOX UNI-form, Northgate M3 Public Protection, Orchard Knowledge of contract management and contract law Providing customer focussed services Knowledge of creating and maintenance of stock condition surveys 121 Jobs is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
