Overview

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader for a Residential Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health problems located within travelling distance from The London Borough of Hounslow who is happy to travel to the Weybridge / Moseley Area of Surrey. You would need to be a Car Driver with access to your own car. Our client is a not for profit charity built on wonderful values and is continually growing. With a wide range of services, including supported living, respite, outreach and residential services, they support children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, ABI, and challenging behaviours. They have a fantastic culture across all their services and promote continuous improvement, heavily investing in training and developing a new state of the art facilities. Your job will be to support the Registered Service Manager with the day to day running of the home. Your role will be to support the adults within the home as well as leading and motivating the staff team. You will also be expected to attend appointments with the people we support, attend care reviews, review and update care plans and risk assessments, record and monitor daily logs, lead shifts, administer medication, and cover the rota where necessary. Skills and expertise: Have experience of providing support to people with learning disabilities and varying support needs Have experience of Supervising or Managing a Staff Team Minimum of 2 years of sector experience IT literate Ability to manage own time and able to work under pressure Good communication skills Level 3 Health and Social Care You will have a positive personality and a strong desire to make a difference in a person’s life. You will be empowering people to make choices and live life to the full, this is a feeling like no other.
