Overview
Social Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within a Referral and Assessment Team for Bexley Council Ofsted describes Bexley as a safe and supportive place to work with highly creative work undertaken by a skilled and well supported workforce. 90% of Bexley's workforce consists of permanent staff but on this occasion, they are looking for Social Workers to come and practice confidently as part of their team and make a difference to the lives of families and children. Summary: · Visiting and interviewing clients to make assessments. · Children’s Services/Children in Need Experience · Assessing priorities and writing reports to develop care plans. · Accepting responsibility for actions in relation to the liberty or safety of clients in emergency situations. · Including carers and clients’ families in the assessment process in line with the Equal Opportunities Act 2004. · Liaising with colleagues and other agencies as appropriate including domiciliary, day and residential services. · Working on a duty Desk, Section 47s · Working in a high paced team, Initial Assessments · Liaising with Clients and Professionals/Agencies · Chairing Child Protection Core Groups · Supervised contact, Risk Assessments What you need: · Experience working within child social services · previous experience in a children social care team · Right to work in the UK.
