Overview
R&A Social Worker Social Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within a Referral and Assessment Team for Bexley Council Ofsted describes Bexley as a safe and supportive place to work with highly creative work undertaken by a skilled and well supported workforce. 90% of Bexley's workforce consists of permanent staff but on this occasion, they are looking for Social Workers to come and practice confidently as part of their team and make a difference to the lives of families and children. Summary: Visiting and interviewing clients to make assessments. Children’s Services/Children in Need Experience Assessing priorities and writing reports to develop care plans. Accepting responsibility for actions in relation to the liberty or safety of clients in emergency situations. Including carers and clients’ families in the assessment process in line with the Equal Opportunities Act 2004. Liaising with colleagues and other agencies as appropriate including domiciliary, day and residential services. Working on a duty Desk, Section 47s Working in a high paced team, Initial Assessments Liaising with Clients and Professionals/Agencies Chairing Child Protection Core Groups Supervised contact, Risk Assessments What you need: Experience working within child social services previous experience in a children social care team Right to work in the UK.
