Cloud Administrator This is the opportunity to work with a leading lending platform who were recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 fastest-growing technology companies in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 In both 2018 and 2019 As a Cloud Administrator, you will be a part of a cross-functional and co-located support team - all of us responsible for maintaining and supporting our internal built applications for the wider team. You will join the technical support team, sharing responsibility for installation, configuration, maintenance and ongoing monitoring/tuning of our AWS infrastructure to support our rapidly growing business. The key goals for this group are concerned with operational efficiency, data integrity, and effective scalability of our infrastructure. About You This organisation is looking for a highly motivated individual, proactive and passionate about cloud architecture and security. You should have at least 5 years' industry experience and be keen to learn new technologies as well as keeping up to date with technology and security trends. Any fintech or financial operations experience will be of great benefit. Essential skills: Linux Servers AWS cloud platform: o VPC o EC2 o ECS o CloudWatch o IAM Advantageous Skills: CloudFormation Lambda WAF S3 EKS Route53 RDS AWS-CLI PostgreSQL Continuous integration Financial services (or other regulated environment) experience Agile principles Scrum/Kanban Key Responsibilities Configuring, managing and troubleshooting Linux OS, Internet based applications and web servers on AWS platform Monitoring, data backup/recovery, security and administration of applications upon cloud-based infrastructure Building and maintaining a relationship with AWS to support the ongoing success of our technical infrastructure Disaster Recovery and Incident Response planning Actively contributing to technical design discussions and decisions Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cloud infrastructure and web security and evangelising a security culture within the wider team Participating in, and evangelising, the culture of self-learning - sharing knowledge with other members of staff and encouraging them to do the same
