Transport Operator

Our Transport team within our Dartford Depot are looking for a Transport Operator to join their team who can thrive in a fast paced environment. You will need to get involved, and understand varying aspects of the Transport office. This role is a mixture of customer service dealing with drivers, internal departments, Network Members and Customer whilst also involving an element of administration duties. The role includes booking dedicated vehicles, liaising with drivers via telephone, and Webfleet (online vehicle tracking & Telematics). We run a fleet of circa. 40 drivers making deliveries and collections for both import clients, and export services on a fleet of vehicle ranging from Transit Vans, to 26t Rigid vehicles. What does a Transport Operator Do? Assists in the control of drivers, both Europa employed, and Sub-contractors. Ensures administration is completed on all jobs. Liaises with internal departments / UK Network members / Drivers. Issues same day collections from the system, with appropriate admin completed. Completes De-briefs for the drivers for both system, paperwork and electronic PDA devices. What does our ideal Transport Operator look like? Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on a Traffic Desk. Will be fully conversant with driver liaison for multi-drop drivers. Good IT skills and a good approach to learning. Flexible with working hours, we may need you to be available for earlier starts to cover holidays. What can Europa Worldwide offer you? Excellent salary package.
