Overview
The Company My client is a key subsidiary of the Market Leader of a bespoke offering within the FMCG Food marketplace. Due to expansion into a new and radical state of the art facility, we are currently recruiting for the key role of Operations Manager/Head of Operations based in London who will play an integral part to the aggressive growth plans of the business. The Role As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for: Leading all aspects of the Bakery Production Operations, based London - working with the 3 production departments - Driving & improving performance in the manufacturing environment Championing a business culture which encourages health & safety, food safety and appropriate systems of management. Embedding operational excellence in a 24/7 operation: from raw ingredients storage and traceability monitoring, through production processes & controls, site & equipment maintenance and procurement, to finished product packing and onward distribution Working closely with MD, Technical, Bakery Production & Sales teams in ensuring the business achieves volume targets and ambitious product development programmes, whilst ensuring a commitment to both the highest manufacturing standards, and rigorous food safety & hygiene protocols FULL JOB DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE UPON SUCCESSFUL TELEPHONE SCREENING The Candidate Strong track record in Operations Management in Food Production is essential, ideally within the wholesale bakery, and ideally supplemented by hands-on baking experience Comfort with a "hands-on" approach to management, and close working with a busy team Experience of structured Operations processes and "daily excellence" in food safety, traceability recording and other high-level working practises Experience of working with UK retailers, and associated audit bodies (e.g. BRC) Strong leadership & coaching skills - already proven in a similar role & environment, or being developed currently at a slightly more junior role level, and the ability to motivate and develop teams You will live in London On offer to the successful candidate is an attractive basic salary and benefits, giving you the ability to work with a dynamic, fast-growing company where the career opportunities are inexhaustible.
