The Role: Work will focus on advising our UK and international multi-national clients on a range of tax matters. The role includes advising on transactions including due diligence on acquisitions and disposals, group structuring and reorganisations; international tax structures including the efficient use of financing and intellectual property, and structuring cross-border investment. The team works across a number of sectors including infrastructure and real estate, TMT, consumer markets and private equity. Responsibilities: • Be market facing with allocated clients and/or projects. • Manage projects to ultimate delivery and conclusion of advice by effectively managing delivery teams and producing commercially focussed technical advice. • Be able to communicate with senior stakeholders at our clients, including introductory calls, proposing for work, managing the client through the delivery process, holding meetings, advising clients and holding fee discussions. • Coach and develop your teams. • Manage risk on engagements and interactions. • Through the relationships you will build across the business, be able to introduce relevant specialists as appropriate. • Develop deep and trusted client relationships. • Actively promote your team and your own profile to internal networks in order to promote collaboration and increase internal leads. • Begin to develop an external network of contacts, referrers, prospects and clients. • Being involved in business development and proposal activity. • Identify key client issues that represent opportunities for other Mazars teams to capitalise on and play active role in introductions. The Individual: - • Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent with experience as a Manager including managing people. • Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills. • Developer of people. • Shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the team. • Displays an inclusive, collaborative approach and operates in a respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community. • Brings insight and effectively applies knowledge to business and client problems. • Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear. • Builds the reputation of Mazars through the quality of work, knowledge and experience. We would be open to candidates wanting a flexible working pattern. Someone wanting part time or some flexibility with their working week would be considered.
