Overview

A top 200 UK Law firm based in Lincoln is looking for an experienced Conveyancer to join the residential team dealing with property matters from initial instruction through to matter conclusion. Main duties will include but not limited to: Conducting all matters in the client's best interest and in accordance with the highest professional standards at all times. Maintaining files in a neat and orderly manner and ensure that each file is reviewed at least once in every 2 month period unless there is a valid reason marked on the file for not so doing. Regularly updating clients as to the current situation of their case. Utilisation of Case Management for all cases, communicating by e-mail and telephone to clients where possible. Dealing with routine and difficult enquiries from telephone callers and clients effectively and efficiently and ensure that all client complaints are dealt with both professionally and promptly to the complete satisfaction of the client. Ensuring the quality of work delegated to and produced by support staff is to the highest standard. Supervision of the work produced by more junior members of the department. Understanding the obligations relating to client accounts and ensure the preparation and service of bills comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. To use best endeavours to achieve financial targets agreed with the Department Head or Branch Partner. Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years conveyancing experience and have the ability to network and develop business opportunities.
