Overview

Our Client is a successful centrally-located Oxford College who are specialists at helping A Level students equip themselves for further education. The College is run by a closely-knit team who provide an excellent environment for the students to flourish. This is a key role, as the College Administrator acts as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, as well as undertaking a range of administrative duties, as identified by the Academic and Welfare teams. Duties include the following: Telephone system - operating the switchboard and ensuring messages are efficiently passed on Reception - greeting and welcoming visitors, accepting deliveries, ensuring fire procedures are adhered to Post - looking after post Office Services - ordering supplies, assisting with Health & Safety policies Management Information - keeping data records of students and tutors up to date Academic Administration - assisting with timetabling, dealing with academic/welfare queries, and passing on where applicable, assisting with student reports, administration re swapping tutorials when necessary Admissions - assisting with prospective clients, maintaining a database of general enquiries, scheduling college visits Meetings/Event Management - providing secretarial and logistical support This is just a summary; a detailed spec is available on application. Candidates should be computer literate, accurate and diligent, good communicators, and have a "can-do" attitude. Educated ideally to A Level standard or equivalent, with first aid/fire safety certification, although these can be organised via the College if necessary. A DBS/CRB is required with this role, but can be arranged through the college. Benefits will include 25 days' holiday and pension scheme.
