Overview
Head of DevOps // £90,000 - £120,000 // Central London Evolving the DevOps methodology in a tech focussed organisation, pushing Kubernetes, latest Cloud environments and automation across AI/Authentication/Cyber Security. After receiving one of the highest Series-A funds in 2017, this Cyber Security company is aiming for Series B early this year which will double their client base and scale their Product and Engineering teams. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with Product, Design and Engineering teams to define and deliver the overall DevOps and Cloud infrastructure. You will be the driving factor in the deployment and running of the current and future Cloud architecture, as well as on premise servers and deployment methods. Whilst leading the DevOps team of six engineers you’ll have complete freedom in defining the roadmap and continuing to push latest technological evolutions (currently using Kubernetes). The team will grow and you’ll aid in the onboarding process whilst keeping the bar high with new additions. Some responsibilities amongst the DevOps team: Containerisation of services based on technologies like Java, NodeJS, GO, Python and Scala Automating processes with Gatling-based performance tests through K8 workloads CI/CD using Gitlab, K8, Helm and home-grown tools Designing both greenfield projects as well as migrating legacy platforms to K8 Implementing K8 clusters through CouchbaseDB in GO to allow dynamic joining/leaving of nodes BDD and TDD style strategies to work with the QA teams This is the perfect opportunity for you redefine and helm the DevOps front within one of the UK’s top leading Cyber Security companies. They are constantly evolving their technology to incorporate latest Cloud and Container services like Docker/Kubernetes /AWS. Requirements: Proven experience building stable enterprise platforms Knowledge of networking, security and cloud environments – including virtual and containers Understanding of Kubernetes or similar Cloud as a Service environments Ability to lead, mentor and provide guidance for other engineers Experience building CI/CD pipelines and enabling automation infrastructure Exposure to platforms build on either Java/Scala/Python/GO Able to design and implement systems with OOP principles This is a position suited to someone who enjoys the inception of projects, able to provide vision and direction to the Engineering team; and relaying objectives to the stakeholders throughout delivery.
