Business Intelligence Developer Based in Newcastle Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 excellent benefits The UK's leading and best-known food on the go retailer is currently looking to recruit a highly skilled BI Developer at their Balliol Business Park site in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded individual with high levels of exposure to business intelligence software to join a high-profile business and play a key role in the way information is delivered and utilised across the business As well as an attractive basic salary benefits will include… o Generous employee discount scheme, offering you up to 50% off o After 6 months service you may be eligible for the profit share scheme o Private medical insurance, health insurance, management pension scheme, plus plenty more The Role You would be tasked with creating and maintaining business intelligence and analytics solutions including Data Lake, Data Warehouses, Data Marts and ELT / ETL. Responsibilities will include… o Respond to incidents raised against the Data Platform / Warehouse, BI reports, related overnight processes and other BI related areas o Implement change requests (minor and major) related to the existing BI suite. o Own developments from design to implementation o Consult business in how to use the Data Platform and its information (self service) o Maintain live, pre-prod and UAT deployment environments o Maintain the 'batch' and 'real time' processing jobs The Candidate The role will suit a technically proficient individual with demonstrable commercial experience working on reporting solutions and high levels of exposure to business intelligence software. You will be an intelligent and analytical individual, solution-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, skilled in the analysis of large datasets, able to spot issues and trends plus manage multiple projects simultaneously.
