TSS Solutions are currently recruiting Fibre Engineers on behalf of a contractor within the telent Supply Chain. This role is based working over the Chilterns – Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire & Oxfordshire Candidate will be fully fit, with a positive attitude and self-motivated Key Duties : - • Operation of optical fibre splicer and production of accurate test results. • Fibre splicing and jointing on the Openreach Network. • Splicing and jointing of PONS and spines. • Installation of optical fibre cable, bundles and blown fibre tubing using fibre-blowing equipment to required standards, including fault finding on existing network. • Splicing and testing of external optical fibres to the end customer premise in line with time and quality standards. • Typical work types include blowing fibre, FTTP, DSLAM splicing and spine. • Assisting cablers in completion of Underground and Overhead works as required, including climbing poles • Terminating drop wires • Produce, update and interpret records of daily work logs and data recordings Ideal Candidate to have the following: • Full UK Driving License • Experience in a similar role • Experience on the Openreach FTTP network • Happy climbing poles and working at heights on the Overhead Network. • Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies. • Hold an up to date NRSWA Street works Card, CSCS Card. • Preferably hold existing Openreach accreditations or have previous Openreach experience. • Preferred Openreach accreditations for this role are A8, A9 and N27 Salary is dependent on experience and at the suppliers discretion.
