Infrastructure Engineer

MyCFL is currently working with a well-establishedManaged Service Provider that specialises in working with SME businesses. Currently there is a vacancy for a Infrastructure Engineer to join their team based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The Package - What you could earn Basic salary is paying between £40,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience Infrastructure Engineer - Main Duties and Responsibilities: Working with the Operations team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise Participating in Problem Management activities to determine root causes of incidents and developing permanent resolutions Participating in Change Management activities to ensure change requests are fulfilled according to company guidelines Supporting users via phone, remote control and site visits Supporting the infrastructure to ensure systems are stable and operating within established performance thresholds Performing regular preventative maintenance tasks Performing regular security, health and compliance checks Participating in Knowledge Base management to ensure the accuracy and relevance of submitted articles Assisting 1st and 2nd line Service Desk teams with incident diagnosis and fault resolution Augmenting the Service Desk team as required Understanding processes in the company’s ITSM tool by completing assigned training materials Providing comprehensive support and end user documentation for existing environments and project implementations to improve support team knowledge and the end user experience The Person - Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience working as a 3rd Line Engineer Proven ability to work under pressure and with other people Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills Expertise in network packet tracing and analysis A strong desire and focus on continual improvement and personal development Hold a minimum of two Microsoft qualification such as MCP, MCTS etc. Hold a minimum of ITIL v3 Foundation Hold at least two relevant IT qualification such as Cisco CCNA, SonicWALL CSSA or Master CSSA, Citrix CCAA, CCEE or CCIA, VMware VCP, HP ProLiant Servers Essential: Windows Servers Active Directory RAID arrays and SANs Server hardware Networking, inc.
