Senior Engineer - Structures Up to £42,000 Taunton The client Are you a Senior Engineer with extensive experience on Major Structures Projects? Our client a leading principle contractor has won a Major Highways development based in the South West. They are looking for a Senior Engineer to take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality on site with the engineering team. The Role As senior engineer within Structures you will be: Creating a safe working environment Assist the Site Agent with planning and coordination projects Write, review and implement Risk Assessments & Method Statements along with Inspection Test Plans Ensuring all works carried out are in line with project specifications, including engineering checks, hold points, inspections and tests Delegate tasks, train and mentor the site engineering team Attend and update at coordination meetings Ensure works are in accordance to Highways specifications, Project work information and drawings Ensure records are kept up to date and of high-quality including site diaries, quality assurance documents, photos, surveys, red line drawings and test results Control and minimise waste Ensure the safety of all company property when on and off site Ideal candidate Experience working on Structure projects NVQ Level 3 or higher in Civil Engineering SMSTS CSCS Office 365 expertise/CAD Ability to work safely Read & Interpret data and drawings Advanced setting out techniques and able to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred Relevant Civil Engineering experience (Highways, Rail, Water or Aviation) Proven leadership and delegation skills Other Benefits 42.5hrs a week 28 Day holidays Bank Holidays Pension Application Process If this sounds like you and you want to find out more, please apply or contact me This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89661472
