Overview
My client, an innovative marketing agency based in the West-Midlands are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing CI/CD pipelines in VSTS, building infrastructure and client environments in Microsoft Azure, or other public cloud providers like Google or AWS. You will also support individual technical leads in preparing release plans, performing dry runs and executing releases into UAT / PREPROD / PROD stages. This is a permanent opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and bring a high level of energy, strategy and governance into a start-up environment. About You An experienced DevOps Engineer who can work well within a commercial and delivery focused environment. • Proven experience working within a product lead environment using Agile methodologies. • Experience designing and supporting complex multi-tier, services based, production systems at scale. • Experience of using container and orchestration services such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Good understanding of applications and infrastructure monitoring, logging and ability to build auto-scaling infrastructure • Build and maintain CI\CD pipelines and underlying infrastructure for successful operation and utilization • A good understanding of source control – Git / Bitbucket • Experience of test-driven development and implementing automated test solutions and pipelines • Working with the developers to keep security and data compliance in mind • SQL Database experience such as Azure SQL, MS SQL • Good understanding of the software development process and lifecycle and the challenges faced, contributing to technically complex projects • Analytical, logical and good problem-solving skills, adept at communicating both internally and externally. • Strong stakeholder management and internal and external facing communication skills, gained across all levels, including senior level management.
