Overview

Technical Support Engineer / IT Support Engineer A great opportunity for a technical / IT support engineer has become available for a very well established, highly succesful and innovative company based in Trafford Park. You will take a role within a small but expanding IT department to help maximimise the efficiency of IT Systems by providing good quality and responsive support. Skills and Responsibilities (not all required and training provided in areas where it is needed): Day to day management of the IT systems, providing first and second line IT support to employees Supporting desktops, servers, tablets, mobile phones using either Windows or Apple, printers, VoIP, switches, firewalls and routers; Responsible for server support and maintenance, including performing server updates and restarts on Windows Server 2012-2019; Providing support across a range of software including Office 365 Active Directory, Exchange, MDM, Microsoft Office, Synology, and in-house IT systems; Working with virtualisation and cloud based solutions; Responsible for bringing new computers onto the network and carrying out hardware upgrades and rebuilds of PCs, laptops and printers; Phone system administration General duties including resolving printer issues, ensuring the Server Rooms are kept well organised and tidy Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to work on their own initiative This is a great opportunity to make your mark on this companies IT and get involved in some exciting projects, with the opportunity to progress as the business and department expanding. A full driving license is required for this role with some travel involved as part of the role (this will be infrequent).
