Care Support Worker - Barnet, £19,032.00 (£9.15 P/H) Full Time, 40h Per Week Minimum . Overtime Available - MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE You will be required to work Nights/Days/Weekends on a rolling rota Our client is a diverse organisation providing a flexible and personalised service supporting adults and young adults who are transitioning and /or Leaving Care and who will be 18 at the time of placement with Mental Health disorders /Learning Disabilities/Substance Misuse issues. The site comprises of Self-contained Studio Flats As part of the Supported Living Accommodation Service, the user will be provided with access to support on a 24-hr basis and one to one support as required by the user’s support plan to maximise their independence. All candidates MUST have experience with working with Mental Health clients, Learning Disabilities, Vulnerable Adults and with Substance Misuse challenges.You will need to provide as much or, as little support as they’ll need for each of the living skills and guide the user to achieve those skills necessary to live independently. You must be able to work flexibly shifts either a rolling rota or a rota that changes weekly. It is important all candidates can do sleeps/nights when required along with their contracted hours per week and must have a good understanding of IT be able to access the internet without any support, write and respond to emails, use Microsoft and excel. You will need experience in supporting people with: Mental ill health Learning disabilities Brain injuries Physical disabilities Dual diagnosis Early Dementia Challenging behaviour with the following, Budgeting Activities outside the home Filling in forms Paying bills Finding accommodation Managing medication Meal preparation and menu planning Shopping Health and recreational visits Personal care All candidates must be able to provide, Clear DBS 2 obtainable references before starting Full Time, Perm Contracted to Min 40 hours per week, Inc Weekends Interested?
