Design Engineer Design engineer - opportunity to develop and progress; Working designing a variety of applications for oil and gas, marine and other associated industries Clear development and training plan in place (onsite and offsite) Based near Hertford Competitive Salary £25’000-£30’000, (dependant on experience). We are looking for a design engineer to join a dynamic and growing business based in Hertford. They are looking for enthusiastic individuals, with mechanical design skills and a base knowledge of the electrical design to join their growing team. The company manufacture equipment for specialist industries. The role involves working on various equipment-based customer enquiries and converting these into design and CAD drawings. You will be mentored by the design manager during your first year, who will provide guidance to help develop you although you will be encouraged to develop independently to gain the key competencies for the tasks. You will be part of a team where your skills can make a real difference you will be involved in the inception, design, production and through to helping new products into the market. We are looking for a design engineer with the following skills and characteristics. Degree educated within mechanical engineering. Recent mechanical engineering graduate or several months experience. Enthusiastic individual who has a passion for engineering. Motivated and determined to put in the hard work in order to progress and develop. Sound theoretical knowledge – basic electrical theory, basic hydraulics, materials, stress & strain, fatigue. Proficient with MS office applications particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
