Overview

Assistant Financial Accountant Our client is a large corporate bank who are looking for a Mandarin speaking Assistant Accountant. This is a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic candidate to join a bank that is growing fast. Our client have been in London for 3 years and are now in their growth phase, which means that this role will benefit from hands on training from multiple members of the bank and working alongside the Head of Finance. Responsibilities: Financial Accounting Maintain the Branch’s general ledger Provision management Accounts payable management Management of fixed assets Expense Management Financial Reporting Preparation of all financial reports for Local and Head Office reporting. System Maintenance (primary responsibility Head of Finance - train as alternate) Maintain and monitor parameters within OGL system and relevant parameters within Core Banking system Experience & Skills Required Experience in working in the finance function of a small bank or foreign bank branch. Experience in the preparation of management and annual accounts, business analysis and management information. Experience of liaising with external auditors and management of annual audit procedures. Must be a University Graduate, preferably a degree in Finance or relevant accounting qualification. We will also consider candidates who are part-qualified accountants. Ideally have experience of working in a small team, cross training and backing up other related roles. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyse and solve problems. Comfortable working independently, as well as part of a team Results and detail-orientation Ability to multitask Ability to read Chinese and speak Mandarin is a must.
