Overview
MMP Consultancy are currently working with a local authority to recruit a Fire Risk Officer for the Housing team, quality assuring FRA documents, undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and ensuring the remedial actions are delivered correctly. All candidates must be academically trained to a NEBOSH Fire or equivalent as minimum with IFE preferred. Key Duties: - Perform Fire Risk Surveys and Assessments on behalf of the local authority for all Social Housing properties when required, in particular high risk / high rise properties. - Contractor management and consultant liaison ensuring they are performing. Working through high volumes of data and FRA documentation for quality purposes. - Identify specifications of works required to remain compliant with new regulations. Signing off works for invoice. - Understand and help implement the long-term programme of works for health and safety via Fire Risk Assessments. - Develop the portfolio of properties and asset data for Fire Risk / Safety. - Effectively ensure the contractors work is to a higher standard when required. - Work with the tenants to assure a service is being provided. - Act as a point of liaison for internal members of staff on fire safety. Candidates need to be technically strong as well as understand the logistics of organisation regarding documentation and remedial actions. This is an urgent start and an ongoing interim contract.
