My client have a wonderful opportunity for a Data and Reporting Team Leader to join their busy team. Job Purpose: The person will be responsible for designing the reporting and insights operating model. The successful candidate will lead and develop the way data is used to manage both internal, and external customer needs. The role is hands on and includes the technical writing of bespoke reports which cannot be delivered via Power B.I or current reporting functionality, as well as supporting the MI developer where required. There is a requirement within role to ensure that OEM pricing data is formatted and delivered accurately to accompany internal systems, in support of their core services. They will be responsible for managing a small internal team and liaising with the group data team for the creation of datasets where required. They will be crucial in introducing and continuously reviewing processes and technology to improve the delivery of accurate, repeatable and timely BI. Delivery of excellent customer service standards at all times, in line with the company’s turnaround service level is crucial for success in this position. Qualifications and Experience: Able to define and deliver best practice in BI service delivery across the complete information lifecycle. Experience of team management Experience of setting standards and controls for the management and development of a semantic layer in line with best practice Delivery of Data visualisation dashboards via industry standard toolsets especially Power B.I Knowledge of relational database structures, schemas and architectures including classis data warehouse design patterns Knowledge of source control systems and implementing change control Strong senior stakeholder management abilities; you can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues MS SQL and SQL Server experience VBA Experience (Visual Basic in Application) Experience of mastering new business systems and processes Understanding of GDPR Experience of supporting change initiatives This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89620768
