Overview

We have a great opportunity for an individual to join our Plymouth based client as an Operations Manager. You will be joining a rapidly expanding property maintenance company who are looking for a person to flourish in this role that offers great independence and scope to make it their own. The purpose of this role is to cover the day to day practicalities of running the business whilst also developing new streams of income. This role would be suitable for an ambitious and forward-thinking individual who desirably comes from a building/property background. The right candidate will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate an ability to build relationships, motivate a team and manage the finances and all operational requirements of the business. List of Duties Line Management of employees. Recruitment of new employees. Diary management / job coordination. Organising appointments with outside sources & sub contractors. Generating the pipeline of incoming works. Business generation and marketing activities (including weekly networking). Ordering materials. Confirming appointments with customers. Creating works sheets / description of works for the contractors. Visit sites for quality control checks. Producing Estimates and Quotes; chasing payments. Main Point Of Contact for all access / site issues. Maintain central property database for estimates/ completion images. Organisation and upkeep of fleet vehicles and requisite documentation. Keeping up with current H&S legislation and upkeep of HSE equipment. Industry standards compliance. Organise and book annual mandatory training with all staff. Authorising mileage / commission payroll payments. Organising trade accounts and submitting applications / references with suppliers. Uploading supplier & sub contractor invoices and authorising payments. Skills/Qualifications Excellent organisational skills. Excellent inter-personal skills. Problem solving. Good level of written English. IT literacy. Full UK driving licence. Experience Required Managing a team. Working with trades/property maintenance/property management. The role is Plymouth-based working 40 hours per week with Company pension. Salary to be negotiated but minimum £30,000 plus profit share
