Overview
Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting a Financial Accountant for an organisation in Sheffield that has experienced significant growth over recent years. You will be responsible for leading a team of one to deliver the Financial Accounts function and to support the Head of Finance with a wide range of tasks. Key responsibilities will include: - Effective financial management of the budgets, including budget setting, forecasting and monitoring of the income and expenditure - Line managing an Assistant Financial Accountant - Ownership of the Balance Sheet, providing challenge to colleagues to ensure all balances are accurate and evidenced, and that working capital is effectively managed - Completing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations - Ownership of the structure of the nominal ledger - Taking the lead in preparation for the external audit - Completing year-end schedules in accordance with the audit timetable - Supporting the internal audit process - Completing and submitting monthly VAT returns - Completing returns for submission to external bodies - Maintaining the fixed asset register - Completing a monthly cashflow forecast - Tracking income and expenditure against capital projects and completing a monthly tracker - Completing and posting the monthly payroll journal To be successful in your application for this role you will need to be a fully qualified Accountant and have experience within a Financial Accounting role.
