Overview
I’m recruiting a Head of People and Culture on behalf of a professional body. The successful candidate will be stepping into the role at an exciting time - taking the baton from an exceptional HR leader who has reshaped the people function from a more traditional HR service to an agile, forward thinking and strategic function. There’s a great opportunity here to work closely with the CEO and SMT to further embed the values and behaviours that support high performance, high levels of wellbeing and staff engagement. The Head of People & Culture will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of their ambitious strategy. The role manages a small team and the work will be a blend of operational and strategic. I’m looking for someone who builds strong relationships and trust at all levels. Someone passionate about HR - embodying and communicating how high performance and wellness come hand in hand. A strong leader with a person-centric approach who will be proactive, visible in the organisation and looking to contribute in meaningful ways. The successful candidate will have significant experience of initiating, delivering, leading and embedding change initiatives, including in depth appreciation and hands on management of the dynamics of change and the effects on people. A strong influencer, you will listen to understand, be on hand to coach, advise, business partner and challenge the status quo as necessary. Champion and drive employee engagement, ensuring that people managers at all levels understand motivational drivers in their teams and are skilled and able people managers. Driving a collaborative approach to internal communication which reflects a modern, consistent and engaging approach to embedding the values and culture throughout the organisation. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the People Plan; encompassing policy & process, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance, contributions to organisation design, training and development programmes at all levels, reward, and internal communications. Essential criteria: Full CIPD membership at chartered or fellow level Significant HR leadership experience within a small to medium sized organisation Proven experience of developing and implementing an organisation-wide People Plan Experience of working with non-executive Trustee Boards Proven experience of managing a small team and developing HR skills in others Significant experience of initiating, delivering, leading and embedding change initiatives Knowledge and experience of internal communications Knowledge of risk analysis and management with reference to balancing people management, employment law and commercial/financial considerations Aumida is committed to promoting equal opportunities, encouraging applications from all members of the community.
