The successful candidate will be joining a forward thinking organisation where sharing ideas and developing their people is how they have built their success. www.ithpharma.com The Role As an IT Software Developer you will work as part of a team reporting to an IT Manager. You will be writing and documenting code using the latest best-in -class frameworks. Areas you’ll be working on include new features, development tools and automated testing. Your main duties would include: Developing an existing Java based web application with frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Birt, Wicket, Angular and Thyme leaf. Developing scalable RESTful services in Java. Writing and implementing acceptance criteria and unit tests including automation test cases that verify functional and non-functional requirements of a feature. Writing clear, concise and comprehensive technical Java documentation. The Person – Skills and qualities required Applicants must have a Computer Science related degree or proven experience within a similar role. Knowledge in the following areas are a must for this role: · Strong knowledge of Java (Java SE, Java EE) · Good knowledge and experience of Object Oriented Programming and Multi-Threading · Familiarity with XML, HTML, CSS and JavaScript · Familiarity with windows server environment · Design patterns · Spring framework · Databases (MySQL, MS SQL servers) and related Java frameworks such as Hibernate In addition you will need good oral/telephone and written communication skills in English, be methodical in approach, able to demonstrate close attention to detail and concentrate for long periods of time. An appreciation of customer needs and experience of working as part of a busy team to tight deadlines without losing focus are also essential.
