Overview
Our people are the jewel in our crown. We know that this industry is built on great individuals and teams. The Rising Sun will soon be undergoing a large refurbishment, including building a kitchen extension, Orangery, and additional bedrooms. As this is a site with such huge potential, we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Head Chef to join our family owned business. You will work alongside a strong team of chefs and Front of House to create and deliver an exceptional, fresh and seasonal menu of dishes recommended highly in The AA Guide and in the Michelin Guide. The successful candidate will be an experienced Head Chef with a genuine ambition to make The Rising Sun renowned for brilliant food. You will display the leadership skills needed to drive and develop a team to reach their potential. The successful candidate would be required to show the following: - Ambition - Cool headed, a real people person - Proven track record of cost controls, including labour management - Capable of hitting and consistently maintaining GP targets of 70% - Designing and implementing fabulous seasonal menus - You will have an understanding of the OHH offering and an ability to adapt to this whilst enhancing the offering bringing fresh ideas and strong experience - Strong work ethic - Good managerial skills, ensuring the welfare of all team members and themselves alike This is a great career opportunity for an ambitious person who thinks outside the box.
