Head Chef - Trendy Gastro Pub - £42k The Package: This role pays up to £42k for the right person Autonomy over the menu 28 days paid holiday per year Option to have shares in the business after a years’ service Quarterly target based bonus The role will require a 48 hour contract Job role: The role will be Of Head chef and you will run the kitchen in this trendy Gastro pub who pride themselves on 100% plant based menu Minimum of 2 previous years’ experience – either be a current Head Chef or Sous Chef wanting to take control of your own kitchenAt present during peak season the business is The Head Chef has responsibility to enable the development and delivery of consistently exceptional food product and the continued success and growth of the business. To hold the ‘food vision’ for the company, updating and refreshing the food offering, recipe/menu development – while staying true to the ethos of the business and the needs Line manage the rest of the kitchen team to ensure that all chefs receive comprehensive, relevant and high quality professional training appropriate to their needs and abilities Set a clear vision for the kitchen, defining success and clear objectives for the team so they know your expectations as a manager and understand what they have to deliver. Ensure the kitchen is a secure, safe and inspirational learning environment, resolving any issues or concerns regarding health, safety and hygiene or chef and/or trainee attitude Identify departmental income streams, cost centres and areas for potential waste, loss and improvement Requirements: Must be a passionate Sous or Head Chef with a proven track record working with fresh produce Creative and up to date with all the latest food trends A sound understanding of seasonal produce A determined and driven chef to drive the of this business Stability in previous employment Be business minded and a desire to work alongside business directors to enhance and develop the business A lead from the front attitude As a recruitment specialist with over a decade experience as a chef, I work closely with each Client and Candidate to understand each of their needs.
