Overview

CCD Business Centre Permanent Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time The purpose of this role is to deliver a customer focused, professional HR Service, which supports the delivery of the CPS business objectives and the vision of a professional HR team. You will also work collaboratively with peers across Partner Areas; sharing good practice and lessons learnt to deliver the business and to ensure resilience. Work in partnership with the Heads of Unit/Chief Crown Prosecutor (CCP)/Area Business Manager (ABM), Senior/HRBP and other senior managers, providing specialist HR advice on all HR issues, ensuring that advice reflects current CPS HR policy and is compliant with current employment law legislation. Support managers in the management of day to day HR issues to minimise the risk of disputes. Co-ordinate recruitment campaigns including the preparation of business cases, liaising with Strategic Recourses when business cases are approved. The postholder will participate where appropriate and organise selection panels in-line with the Resourcing, Recruitment, Mobility and Transfer Policy and relevant timescales. Successfully communicate HR activity to the Area and advice to individual line managers to resolve issues identified and/or remedial action where required. Provide advice and guidance to operational management teams on a wide range of HR issues to improve staff engagement, performance, attendance, conduct, health and well-being, including the handling and preparation of Occupational Health (OH) Assist referrals, organisational change and managing redeployment etc. Delivering a customer focused service to all staff and managers across the whole range of human resources functions. Identify, address and escalate as necessary issues of non-compliance with relevant HR policies. The successful applicant must be Associate CIPD qualified or working towards this qualification. Essential Experience: HR Casework Experience and knowledge of HR Policies and terms and conditions (tested at assessment). Please note that it is a requirement of this role for the post holder to attend the CPS New Manager Programme (NMP) and successfully complete the associated Accreditation or to have already completed or be working towards the CPS Level 3 Certificate in Operational Management. Please note excess fares will not apply. This is a full time post. However, requests for flexible, part-time working and job share will be considered, taking into account at all times the operational needs of the Department.
