Overview
Data Engineer Fully Remote Initial 1-month contract £75 per hour As a Data Engineer, you are required to develop Machine Learning algorithms using PySpark. You will be working closely with Data Scientists, working with a world leading Healthcare Analytics agency. THE COMPANY: This company are a leading Healthcare Analytics consultancy who have seen an unprecedented increase in requirements due to the outbreak of COVID-19. You will be supporting a great cause to help research teams predict the amount of beds that will be required in hospitals for sick patients. The company have access to large volumes of data across the nation so need someone to integrate data sets in order to make accurate predictions. THE ROLE: As a Data Engineer, you will be required to design an Airflow pipeline to integrate and ingest data stored in NoSQL databases. You will be querying the data in SQL and building ETL pipelines in Python. You will transform the data into usable datasets so that the Data Scientists can use it to build their statistical models. You will then be required to put these models into production using PySpark.
