Overview

Infrastructure Team Leader - Windows, VMWare, Azure - Global Co. Our client is a global organisation that delivers a multitude of media services into the financial services market place, with offices in London, Hong Kong and NY to name a few With over 2,000 employees across 20 global offices you will be working within an Infrastructure and End Point support team of circa 10 people with three of the team focussing on Wintel Server Infrastructure incorporating Exchange Online and O365. Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer Team Leader that has core Windows Server & AD skills but a leaning/speciality on the O365 & Exchange Online side as our client have migrated all their Exchange Servers to O365 cloud/Exchange Online. As a result, there is also a great deal of emphasis in this role on automation and utilising PowerShell etc to improve and streamline the processes for the circa 2000 users. This is 80% hands on tech role and 20% Management role you will be leading, directing and managing a team of two infrastructure engineers who you will also be working alongside on the day to day infrastructure needs. You will be taking some of the pressure of the Infrastructure manager. This is newly created role so it's a great chance to put your stamp on things. If you have experience working in an enterprise scale environment or similar positions, then this role is for you. Main Responsibilities: Windows Server administration VMware vSphere and Site Recovery Manager Office365 administration (Exchange Online) Managing Active Directory, Azure AD and ADFS Maintaining our server rooms and data centres Ensuring that our infrastructure monitoring is correctly tuned Technical (Essential): PowerShell - Automation is key Windows Server 2012/2016 (500 server environment) Exchange 2016 Active Directory and associated services (ADFS, DHCP, DNS, Group policy, WSUS, LDAP) Azure AD and Microsoft Exchange Online SolarWinds or other monitoring platforms Technical (Desirable): Team Lead in previous roles. Azure ecosystem NetBackup data protection technologies McAfee EPO and security policies Linux would be beneficial Understanding of SSL/TLS, ciphers and certificates Projects you will be involved with: Closing corporate data centres and moving everything into Azure Cloud. Telephony migration to Microsoft Teams. Integrating a newly acquired business of 100 employees into the corporate IT domain.
