Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified ambitious and competent individual to enter a successful group of companies in the manufacturing sector. You will oversee the finance function of 2 companies, with plenty of available scope to take on more. The core business has been around for over 50 years and is well established in the industry. We are the market leader in the UK and our products are supplied all over the world. Skills & Qualifications - Batchelors degree in accounting / business / economics / finance - ACCA / ACA / CIMA fully qualified - Good problem-solving abilities and research skills - IT literate and fully versed in MS Office main products - Excel in particular - Solid written and verbal communication abilities - High level of attention to detail Job duties - Preparation of the monthly management accounts for 2 companies - Assistance in the preparation of the year end statutory accounts - Assistance in the preparation of the Research and Development tax claim - Supervise and manage the members of the finance team - Preparation of payroll - Management of the company pension schemes - Preparation and submission of VAT returns - Ensure the correct recording of all transactions - Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of credit control processes - Suggest and implement improvements in the current systems - Monitor cashflow and produce forecasts - Manage the relationship with the bank including the submission of monthly reports - Manage the intercompany transactions closely and plan as required - Produce reports for the board and present information accordingly - Ongoing monitoring of the sales position during the month - Summarise and authorising of expense claims - Facilitate the general procurement process of goods not for resale - Completion of statutory forms and surveys - Monitor, arrange and maintain vehicle lease / purchase agreements
