Assistant Flood Risk Engineer An excellent long-term contract opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Flood Risk Engineer based in Leeds. The Assistant Flood Risk Engineer will join a busy Flood Risk team who deal with the delivery of operational functions and service activities for the provision of Highway Drainage, Land Drainage and Flood Risk Services. The Main Duties and Responsibilities Are: ·To assist and support the engineer in the timely delivery as statuary consultee for planning responses and enquires. ·To assist with the development, review, update and implementation of flood risk and drainage services business plans, policy and strategy documents. ·To assist in ensuring that Drainage/Flood Mitigation scheme contracts are tendered, adjudicated, awarded, administered, implemented and managed in a correct and timely manner in accordance with the prevailing financial and legislative policies and contract standing order arrangements. Essential skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil the role include, but are not limited to: ·Willingness and ability to obtain and/or enhance qualifications and training for development in this post ·Valid driving licence ·Qualification required appropriate civil engineering-based qualification, e.g. Degree / HNC / HND or equivalent. ·Membership of an appropriate professional association. ·Previous experience required in a Civil Engineering Background What to do now: If you are interested in this role and fit the criteria above, please send us your application today.
