Junior Automation Test Engineer - Basingstoke - Up to £34,000 Benefits A cutting-edge medical company based in Basingstoke are currently looking to bolster the skills within their IT team with a Junior Automation Test Engineer. You'll get to work on a highly technical product that has a genuine and long-lasting impact with its customers. The Role Reporting to the Test Lead, you will be creating test cases based on the requirements and designs, setting up the test environment, including the hardware, software and network. As the Junior Automation Test Engineer, your daily duties will include, but won't be limited to: Updating test cases based on changes in design Reviewing software requirements Automating tests and processes Testing software releases by executing assigned manual and automated tests Logging defects on defect management tools Creating test logs Reporting test results Verifying defect fixes About You The ideal applicant will have a strong background of manual testing with experience of test and defect management tools such as TFS, Quality Center/ALM and Jira. As the Junior Automation Test Engineer, you'll have experience of working in an Agile environment and will have and appreciation of automation testing and tools. You be highly organised with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will thrive working in a collaborative environment, bouncing ideas of each other and ultimately ensuring deadlines are met.
