Overview
Our client, based in Reading is currently hiring for a Junior QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. Responsibilities Production of test data and test scripts and reviewing test plans. Take ownership and maintain the manual regression pack, ensuring it is kept up to date. Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects, ensuring all defects are assigned and tracked. Highlight the severity and impact of defects raised and understand where automation could be used to reduce manual test effort. Understand high-level product objectives, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Requirements Good understanding of the IT project lifecycle, particularly Agile methodologies and the Scrum process. A strong interest in Software Testing and the desire to develop skills in this area. Computer Science qualification. Experience with business and technology functions. Experience in software testing, performing functional, integration and regression testing across web, mobile and back end platforms. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 17:30pm Our client offers an excellent remuneration package and excellent career progression prospects.
