Overview
My client is one of the UK leading Retailers and are looking to expand their technical team and recruit an IT Project Manager to continue its successful growth. You will have a passion for successful solution delivery, with expertise in the application, online and digital space. Being a big company, you will have a great exposure to different technologies, projects and internal and external clients. One of the main upcoming initiatives is related to new learning technologies, to support the shift in Learning culture and new ways of learning. Drawing on a passion for quality, team work and project management, and enjoying working in a dynamic, fast paced environment, the IT Project manager will report to the IT Program Manager for People Solutions and work in close relationships with the HR Project Manager. This role will also act as a liaison with our Business partners, supporting our common Learning technologies initiatives. The IT Project Managers responsibilities, Create and maintain the IT related Learning technologies project planning and review project deliverables through all stages of the project. Coordinate with HR Project Manager to ensure overall planning follow-up. Contribute and sponsor the Agile mindset throughout the project. Ensure coordination of all relevant IT contributors to the project. Collaborate with global, regional and divisional teams to monitor and expand project scope, monitor project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/update external project staff, and ensure project success. Provide expert project guidance/support proactively through project completion. Challenge current ways of working and seek understanding of team dynamics. Identify opportunities for improvements on how the project team can work more effectively and make recommendations as appropriate. Report appropriately to his/her IT and HR management on the progress, risks, and key decisions to make.
