They now require an experienced Plumber to join their team to support their work in their specialist area. The main role of the Plumber is to install, maintain and repair pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling and water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial premises. Key Tasks: Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems and other plumbing materials Installation of pipes and fixtures such as sinks and toilets for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids Install support for pipes, equipment and fixtures prior to installation Assemble fittings and valves for installation Modify length of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing materials as needed Use of saws and pipe cutters as necessary Analyse problems and identifies appropriate solutions Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes Perform inspections for plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work unsupervised Self-motivated An appreciation of customer service Organised Meticulous attention to detail Teamwork with the ability to work well with others Ability to make decisions Analytical Problem-solving and trouble shooting Qualifications, Experience and Skills: Essential: City & Guilds Level 2 minimum Experience of both domestic and commercial plumbing installation works Understanding drawings, plans and instructions Design and Installation Knowledge and understanding of current regulations In-depth knowledge of maintenance, repairs and installation of plumbing systems Project management Estimating skills UK Driving licence
